Horseback Riding
Weight requirement?
Must be below 240 lbs.
Helmets?
Everyone under 18 yrs old is required to wear them. Above 18 is optional. We provide them.
Do we have to arrive early?
Yes. If your group is 4 people or less, arrive 15 minutes early. If your group is 5 or more people, arrive 25 minutes early.
Difference between mountain meadows trail and crow’s nest trail?
Crow’s nest is 1.5 hours long. Mountain meadows is 1 hour long.
What do we see/where do we go?
From the stables, you ride through a beautiful mountain meadow and then up a hillside where you overlook the Heber Valley and Deer Creek Reservoir. You also have views of the Soldier Hollow cross country ski trails, which is where the Olympics were held and will be held again!
What's the largest group size?
20 people. However, we can send groups back-to-back if you have more than 20 people.
Can I send my kids alone?
No, an adult must accompany them.
Can I trot or canter the horse?
No, it’s a walk-only ride.
Can we double ride?
No, only one person per horse.
What’s the difference between a private ride and regular?
The private ride ensures it’s only your party and the guide, no additional riders. If you book a regular ride, others may join the ride with you.
Do we get pictures?
Yes, your guide will take pictures for you.
Can you do proposals?
YES! Give us a call to schedule.
Can I bring a pet?
No, unfortunately no pets are allowed.
Can I bring a backpack?
No, just so your balance is not compromised.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reservations must be canceled or rescheduled before 72 hours of reserved time in order to receive a full refund or avoid fees. For any cancellations within 72 hours of reservation, customers will still be responsible for full purchase. Reservations may be rescheduled within 72 hours with a 50% (of total purchase) rescheduling fee. Customers will only be allowed to reschedule one time. Customers may not cancel reservation after rescheduling.
If I have a disability, will I be able to ride?
We refer anyone with a disability to the National Ability Center in Park City, UT. Their number is (435) 649-3991.
Do you provide transportation?
We do! Reach out to Rocky Mountain Shuttle at 801-360-0236 for a quote.
Can we Uber to your location?
Yes, but most definitely not recommended! It can be difficult to get an Uber ride back.
Wagon Rides
Who can participate?
Our wagon rides are suitable for guests of all ages! Guests must be able to safely climb aboard and down from the wagon on their own or with assistance from their party.
Is this event sensory-friendly?
No. Please note that flashing and strobe-style lighting is used throughout the light displays, and music or sound effects may be present. This event may not be suitable for photosensitive or sensory-sensitive individuals.
Are tickets refundable?
All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be offered for weather, scheduling, or personal circumstances.
Is the ride wheelchair accessible?
Our wagons are not wheelchair accessible, and guests must be able to climb up and down a few steps to board.
Where does the ride begin?
Can we bring a large group?
Absolutely! Our wagons seat up to 15 guests at a time, and we often have several wagons going at once, so larger groups can usually ride at the same time or back-to-back. We love hosting families, church groups, and corporate outings. For group bookings, please contact us directly for details.
Can I bring my pet?
For the safety and comfort of all guests and our horses, pets are not permitted on the wagon rides.
What happens if it rains or snows?
We operate rain, snow, or shine! Our horses are hardy and used to winter weather, and the wagons are designed for comfort in all conditions. Please dress warmly and bring your own blankets to stay cozy.
Can I reschedule my tickets?
Unfortunately, tickets are non-transferable and may not be rescheduled once purchased.
How long does the experience take?
The full experience typically takes 30–45 minutes, including shuttle time to and from Santa’s area and the wagon ride through the Christmas lights.
Is food or drink available?
Hot cocoa is available for purchase on-site! Guests are also welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages and blankets.
